Born in Milton Keynes, singer-songwriter Sarah Ikumu has had a passion for music since a young age starting with being a singer in her fathers church. Having back to the UK after briefly living in Kenya, Sarah competed in the Teen Star UK competition, where she was quickly scouted and signed before later being chosen to compete in Britain’s Got Talent 2017. With a powerful voice and performance of ‘And I’m Telling You’ that awed the judges she was chosen by Simon Cowell as his Golden Buzzer. She then went on to compete in the reboot of Showtime At the Apollo in New York in 2018, where she reached the final and finished as runner up.

Sarah has since then performed for The United Nation Trust Fund, We Day @SSE Arena, NSPCC, Apollo Theatre Spring Gala and Apollo in the Hamptoms, where she performed with The Roots and Taste of Abu Dhabi, and The Hurricane Maria Memorial in Dominica.
